Oelslager Announces Controlling Board Releases, August 7 2019
COLUMBUS—State Representative Scott Oelslager (R – North Canton) announced Monday that the Ohio Controlling Board has approved funds for Stark State College and for Heartland Behavioral Healthcare.
The Controlling Board released $144,816.32 to reimburse Stark State College of Technology for the emergency replacement of the Cornerstone roof in downtown Canton. The roof was leaking and was at the end of its lifespan.
The Controlling Board also approved the release of $16,015 to Heartland Behavioral Healthcare for Patient Mall Restroom Renovations. The funds will be used to make improvements to two sets of patient accessible restrooms located in common treatment areas of Heartland Behavioral Healthcare. The focus of the project is to remove ligature risks and improve patient safety.
Heartland Behavioral Healthcare is a state-owned and operated in-patient healthcare facility located in Massillon, Ohio.
Oelslager serves as one of the six legislators on the Controlling Board.
