Oelslager Announces Controlling Board Release for Stark State

State Rep. Scott Oelslager (R–North Canton) announced Monday that the Ohio Controlling Board approved the release of $350,000 in capital funds to Stark State College for the CDL Training Center in Springfield Township. 

The CDL Training Center at Stark State College will greatly impact economic development in the area by creating access to affordable workforce development in the transportation industry. Licensed CDL drivers are one of the largest workforce needs in the region and this center will help address that need.

The region is served by more than 160 trucking companies and numerous trucking terminals throughout the area.

Oelslager serves as one of the six members on the Controlling Board.
