Rep. Klopfenstein Votes in Support of Resolution Honoring the U.S. Marine Corps on 250th Anniversary

COLUMBUS—State Representative Roy Klopfenstein (R-Haviland) this week voted in support of House Concurrent Resolution 21 to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States Marine Corps.

“Throughout the history of our nation, the United States Marine Corps has stood as a symbol of unwavering courage, sacrifice, and service to our nation,” said Klopfenstein. “It’s an honor to recognize their legacy and the brave men and women who continue to defend our freedoms with steadfast dedication.” 

The resolution states in part: “That we, the members of the 136th General Assembly of the State of Ohio, in adopting this resolution, recognize the 250th anniversary of the United States Marine Corps.”

In addition, HCR 21 recognizes the Marine Corps’ motto, “Semper Fidelis,” or “Always Faithful,” and the nearly 38,000 Marines forward deployed around the world on any given day, underscoring the Corp’s role as first responders on an international scale.
