Reps. Roy Klopfenstein, Melanie Miller Testify on "Trey's Law" in Committee

State Representatives Roy Klopfenstein (R-Haviland) and Melanie Miller (R-Ashland) this week provided sponsor testimony on “Trey’s Law” in the Ohio House Judiciary Committee. House Bill 723 strengthens protections for victims of sexual abuse and ensures perpetrators are held accountable for their crimes.

Rep. Klopfenstein Joins Roundtable with Undersecretary of Energy to Discuss Data Centers, Ratepayer Protection Pledge

State Representative Roy Klopfenstein (R-Haviland) on Monday joined a roundtable with Alex Fitzsimmons, Acting Undersecretary of Energy for the U.S. Department of Energy; State Representative Adam Holmes (R-Nashport), State Representative Adam Mathews (R-Lebanon), Chair of the House Energy Committee; State Representative David Thomas (R-Jefferson); and representatives from the America First Policy Institute (AFPI) to discuss the Ratepayer Protection Pledge and Ohio’s leadership on data center accountability, which includes Ohio HB 706.

Rep. Klopfenstein Applauds Workforce Housing Grant Designated for Village of Antwerp

State Representative Roy Klopfenstein (R-Haviland) today applauded the recent announcement by Governor Mike DeWine and the Ohio Department of Development that the village of Antwerp in Paulding County will receive a $2.3 million grant to support the creation of workforce housing through the Residential Economic Development District (REDD) program.

Local Fire Departments Awarded Small County Volunteer Fire Department Grant

COLUMBUS –State Representative Roy Klopfenstein (R-Haviland) is pleased to announce that fire departments across Defiance, Paulding, Putnam and Van Wert counties have been awarded more than $806,000 through the newly created Small County Volunteer Fire Department (SCVFD) Grant Program, established in the state budget championed by House Republicans.
