Klopfenstein Supports Bill to Designate EMS Week in Ohio

COLUMBUS – State Representative Roy Klopfenstein (R-Haviland) recently voted in support of House Bill 311, legislation to designate the third full week of May as Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week in Ohio.
The bill works to recognize the vital contributions of EMS professionals, including paramedics, emergency medical technicians (EMTs), dispatchers, and other first responders who serve as a critical lifeline during emergencies.
“Our EMS services are essential to the heart of our rural communities,” said Klopfenstein. “This legislation is a small token of appreciation for their unwavering dedication and sacrifices.”
The week-long celebration would not only work to spotlight the diverse roles within the EMS field but also emphasize the essential services they provide during emergencies and everyday healthcare situations.
House Bill 311 now moves to the Ohio Senate for consideration.
