Rep. Melanie Miller Showcases Tourism in Ohio
State Representative Melanie Miller (R-Ashland) today announced that Ohio’s tourism industry welcomed over 240 million visitors in 2024, supporting thousands of local businesses and attractions across the state, generating over $57 billion in revenue, according to the Ohio Department of Development.
“As Chair of the Arts, Athletics, and Tourism Committee, I’m especially proud of Ohio’s tourism industry — an economic engine that supports local communities, small businesses, and jobs across our state,” said Miller.
From national parks and historical monuments to beloved local restaurants, wineries, museums, and more, Ohio offers an incredible variety of destinations for visitors from near and far.
Representative Miller is proud to highlight a few notable tourism destinations and community favorites in their district:
· Mohican State Park Visitor Center, which opened earlier this month in Hanover Township, is the first visitor center since the state park opened in 1949.
· City of Ashland was recently named one of the five best places in the state to live, work, and visit by Ohio Magazine.
