COLUMBUS - The Village of Plymouth will receive a grant to help with flood control and drainage improvements, state leaders announced today.
The $500,000 Critical Infrastructure Grant will be used to repair 2,420 linear feet of storm sewer, which is currently not functioning correctly. With standing water in the sewer, the storm drain system has the opportunity to become a breeding ground for disease-carrying insects.
Plymouth is one of 13 communities receiving funding from the Ohio Department of Development’s critical infrastructure grant program.
“It is encouraging to see the Village of Plymouth receive this state funding which will result in a safer and cleaner community,” said John.
