Rep. Humphrey Hosts Senior Community Resource Fair at the Barnett Community Center

July 11, 2023
Latyna M. Humphrey News

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Latyna M. Humphrey (D-Columbus) is proud to announce her third community resource fair in the district. Unlike previous resource fairs, this event will be specifically tailored towards the senior community, with the participation of key stakeholders such as the Franklin County Office on Aging, the Department of Minority Health, and the Franklin County Auditor's Office.

"I am elated to host events like these. While legislation plays a significant role in my job, it can be a slow process. That's why it is imperative for me to get out there, put boots on the ground, and actively make positive changes in our community, particularly for our seniors," said Rep. Humphrey.

At this event, constituents will have the opportunity to discover a wide range of valuable resources, services, and connections that are tailored to enhance the well-being of seniors in our community. They can connect with local healthcare providers, explore senior housing options, engage in workshops and interactive activities, and have the chance to meet fellow seniors, caregivers, and volunteers.

We are thrilled to be joined by a variety of vendors, including the Franklin County Auditor's Office, Modcon Living, Cancer Support Community Central Ohio, Franklin County Veteran Service Commission, Legal Aid Society of Columbus, Mid-Ohio Food Collective, Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging (COAAA), Urban Aging Residents Coalition UARC, PER SCHOLAS, CASA of Franklin County, City of Whitehall - Senior Center, Franklin County Office on Aging, Office of the Ohio Consumers' Counsel, The Health and Human Services Mobile Unit, VA Caregiver Support Program, Columbus City Council, MORPC, Wexner Heritage Village, Primary One Health, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, and the Ohio Commission on Minority Health.

The event will be July 28th, 11am -2pm at the Barnett community Center. To attend the event, please register using the following link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/state-representative-humphrey-presents-senior-community-resource-fair-tickets-661104941677?aff=oddtdtcreator
