Rep. Humphrey Delivers $1.25 Million for Ohio House District 2 in State Capital Budget
COLUMBUS – State Rep. Latyna M. Humphrey (D-Columbus) today announced the passage of Senate Bill 450, the state's biennial capital budget, which includes more than $1.25 million in funding for projects within Ohio House District 2 and additional investments in community-based initiatives throughout Franklin County.
The capital budget allocates nearly $4 billion statewide for the construction, renovation, and maintenance of public infrastructure, including higher education facilities, K-12 schools, mental health and addiction treatment centers, cultural institutions, and other community projects that strengthen Ohio's neighborhoods and economy.
"Ensuring that our communities receive the resources they need to thrive is one of my top priorities," said Rep. Humphrey. "I am especially proud that every organization in House District 2 that requested capital funding through my office received support in this budget. These investments will strengthen educational opportunities, expand access to critical health and housing services, and improve quality of life for residents throughout our community."
The following projects in House District 2 received funding through the capital budget:
- $600,000 for Bridgeway Academy Renovations
- $500,000 for the Maryhaven Comprehensive Addiction Center
- $150,000 for Vista Village's Tiny Home Project
In addition to the funding secured for House District 2, Rep. Humphrey also helped secure funding for multiple Franklin County projects, including:
- $300,000 for The Service Innovation Kitchen
- $750,000 for Community Housing Network Deer Hill Place
- $350,000 for Van Buren Community Shelter Improvements
