COLUMBUS – State Representative Kevin Miller (R-Newark) today made the following statement in response to the Ohio House overriding Governor DeWine’s veto of House Bill 68, the SAFE Act and Save Women’s Sports Act.

COLUMBUS – The Ohio House of Representatives passed House Bill 111, which will raise the penalties for domestic violence offenders from a “low tier” third-degree felony to a “high tier” third-degree felony. The measure is sponsored by State Reps. Jeff LaRe (R-Violet Twp.) and Kevin Miller (R-Newark). 

COLUMBUS – The Ohio House of Representatives passed House Bill 241, which will give police departments the ability to fill vacant positions without a competitive examination, announced bill sponsor, State Representative Kevin Miller (R-Newark). 

COLUMBUS –The Ohio House of Representatives today passed House Bill 256, which will require the Ohio Department of Natural Resources to inquire about organ donation when someone registers for a hunting or fishing license. The bill is joint sponsored by State Reps. Kevin Miller (R-Newark) and Rodney Creech (R-West Alexandria).

COLUMBUS—The House Public Health Policy Committee today passed House Bill 256, which will require the Ohio Department of Natural Resources to inquire about organ donation when someone registers for a hunting or fishing license. The bill is joint sponsored by State Reps. Rodney Creech (R-West Alexandria) and Kevin Miller (R-Newark).

COLUMBUS – House Bill 111, which will raise the penalties for domestic violence offenders from a “low tier” third-degree felony to a “high tier” third-degree felony, passed the House Criminal Justice Committee 11-0. Bill sponsors, State Reps. LaRe (R-Violet Twp.) and Miller (R-Newark) were pleased to see unanimous support from the committee. 

COLUMBUS –State Representatives Kevin Miller (R-Newark) and Rodney Creech (R-West Alexandria) will soon introduce legislation that requires the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) to ask Ohioans if they’d like to become an organ donor when applying for a hunting or fishing license.

COLUMBUS –The Ohio House of Representatives today passed the final version of the State Operating Budget, House Bill 33, for fiscal years 2024-25, announced State Rep. Kevin Miller (R-Newark). The budget bill includes funding for first responders, tax relief for all Ohioans, and several other initiatives.
