Reps. Sweeney, Miller to Host Bipartisan Press Conference on Eliminating Quotas for Law Enforcement Officers
COLUMBUS – State Reps. Bride Rose Sweeney (D-Westlake), Kevin Miller (R-Newark), and Sen. Tom Patton (R-Strongsville) will host a press conference announcing bipartisan legislation prohibiting ticket and arrest quotas for law enforcement offices on Wednesday, February 26th at 9:00am EST in the Senate Harding Press Briefing Room at the Ohio Statehouse.
The legislation defines a quota as a mandate of a certain number of arrests made or citations issued for any offense that a local or state police officer must meet in a specified time period.
