Miller Supports 2nd Amendment with House Vote
COLUMBUS – The Ohio House of Representatives passed legislation Wednesday to protect Ohioan's 2nd amendment right.
The landmark plan is the most significant 2nd Amendment bill approved by Ohio lawmakers in years.
“I will always fight to defend the constitutional rights and freedoms of Ohioans, and am proud to have voted yes on Senate Bill 215 protecting your second amendment right,” said Miller.
Senate Bill 215 makes applying for a concealed carry license no longer mandatory. However, a concealed-carry permit is still necessary for reciprocity purposes when traveling across Ohio’s borders.
Further, if you are 21 and meet the legal requirements for a concealed carry license you can carry that handgun legally without an additional license. Additionally, no further fees or paperwork is required.
The bill was given final approval by the Senate today and now heads to the desk of Governor Mike DeWine.
