Miller Issues Statement on $500 Million for Appalachian Community Grant Program
State Rep. Kevin Miller (R-Newark) issues the following statement on the announcement of a $500 million investment into the Appalachian Community Grant Program:
“This is going to give our local governments and other entities the chance to build up our communities, providing redevelopment projects and improvements and ways to focus on our workforce here in Perry County. I was happy to support this initiative, and I encourage our eligible applicants to apply when it launches.”
The $500 million in funding stems from House Bill 377, which was passed by the General Assembly in June. Miller voted to support the legislation.
Applications will be accepted beginning on Wednesday, Nov. 2. More details on eligible applicants and how to apply can be found here.
