COLUMBUS – Republican Kevin Miller was sworn in today to represent the 72nd District in the Ohio House of Representatives.

Miller fills the vacancy left by the expulsion of former State Representative Larry Householder.

“I am passionate about public service and truly honored to serve the people of the 72nd District,” said Miller. “Each and every day, my commitment is to work to improve opportunity and the quality of life for Coshocton, Licking and Perry counties.”

Miller has served in the Ohio State Highway Patrol as a trooper, labor relations advocate and post commander. Most recently, he served as the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s legislative liaison, educating and advocating for issues at the Ohio Statehouse on behalf of troopers.

“I was pleased to swear-in Representative Miller today,” said Speaker Cupp. “He is a fantastic addition to our caucus, and I look forward to seeing his accomplishments as a state representative.”

Miller holds a Bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University and completed a leadership course for law enforcement executives at the FBI National Academy in Quantico, VA.
