Rep. Brownlee of Ohio House District 28 Sworn Into 136th General Assembly
COLUMBUS – State Rep. Karen Brownlee (D-Symmes Township) Monday was sworn into the 136th Ohio General Assembly. Rep. Brownlee will be beginning her first term in the legislature, serving the people of Blue Ash, Deer Park, Evendale, Forest Park, Loveland, Montgomery, Pleasant Run Farms (Springfield Township), Springdale, Sycamore Township, and Symmes Township at the Ohio Statehouse.
“I look forward to working at the Statehouse to create a healthier, safer, and more equitable Ohio for current and future generations,” said Rep. Brownlee.
Rep. Brownlee’s priorities include the health and safety of all Ohioans, the protection of democratic rights, and supporting strong public education and equitable economic growth.
Prior to joining the legislature, Rep. Brownlee was a clinical social worker and trainer within the community mental health field in Cincinnati, Ohio. Her work focused on improving mental health outcomes for children, adolescents, and families. Rep. Brownlee is a passionate advocate for children and adolescents and worked with mental health providers, parents, educators, and law enforcement to support safer interactions with young people.
