Rep. Brownlee, Leader Russo Discuss Legislative Priorities at House District 28 Town Hall
COLUMBUS – State Rep. Karen Brownlee (D-Symmes Twp) held a town hall Thursday with Minority Leader Allison Russo (D-Upper Arlington) to give constituents of House District 28 the opportunity to have their voices heard as well as to give an update on the current legislative priorities of the Ohio House Democratic Caucus.
“The best part of my job is connecting with constituents, so participating in town halls is very important to me. Constituents are telling us they want an Ohio budget that supports fair funding of public schools and continues to provide access to basic healthcare and other human services. Our job is to listen and represent the will of the people,” said Rep. Brownlee.
Other priorities Rep. Brownlee hopes to achieve in her tenure as representative are:
- Increasing incentives for healthcare providers to bring more people to the profession;
- Expand provider choice for all that need care;
- Introduce commonsense concealed carry laws;
- Ensure safer communities by teaming up with community partners; and
- Declaring gun violence a public health crisis.
