Scioto County Awarded $1.75 Million for Neighborhood Improvement, Critical Infrastructure Projects

COLUMBUS—Scioto County was recently awarded $1.75 million in grant funding to be used towards local neighborhood revitalization and critical infrastructure projects, announced State Rep. Justin Pizzulli (R-Scioto County).
The breakdown of funding and project details are as follows:
- A $500,000 critical infrastructure grant will be used to make flood and drainage improvements in the Village of New Boston by upgrading components and pumps in a facility located on Munn Run at the floodwall along the Ohio River.
- A $750,000 neighborhood revitalization grant will be used to support the Neighborhood Revitalization Program in the Village of New Boston. The grant will specifically be used to install pickleball courts and welcome signs and make improvements to a walking trail and two local roads.
- A $500,000 critical infrastructure grant will be used to make flood and drainage improvements in the Village of Otway along State Route 73.
“These projects will benefit more than 2,100 people in the 90th district,” said Pizzulli. “I’m grateful for this investment, which will continue to make Scioto County a great place to plant roots.”
In total, over $18.2 million was awarded to 34 communities throughout Ohio.
