Pizzulli Highlights Controlling Board Funding for Local State Park, Appalachian Communities
COLUMBUS –The Ohio Controlling Board recently approved the release of over $4 million in funding to Department of Natural Resources, a portion of which will to be used towards projects in Scioto County, announced State Rep. Justin Pizzulli (R-Scioto County).
More specifically, the funding will be used to expand broadband and provide campground Wi-Fi in Shawnee State Park. The funding will also be used to maintain bridges located in Shawnee State Forest and Shawnee State Park in Scioto County.
“It’s important to invest in the natural parts of our state so that generations to come may experience Ohio’s beauty,” said Pizzulli.
The Controlling Board also approved a measure to establish appropriation authority for a number of ARPA projects that will directly invest in health, education, and economic development throughout Ohio’s Appalachian Region. Allocations are as follows:

“I’m pleased to see this investment into Scioto, Adams, and Brown Counties,” said Pizzulli. “This funding will make our communities a better place to work, live, and raise a family.”
