Pizzulli Announces $34.2 Million Investment in Scioto County
COLUMBUS—State Rep. Justin Pizzulli (R-Scioto County) is pleased to announce that $34,216,387 will be directed towards a waterfront redevelopment project in Scioto County as part of the newly created Ohio’s Wonderful Waterfronts Initiative.
The funding will specifically be used towards riverfront improvements and tourism opportunities in Portsmouth. The project includes enhancements to outdoor recreation amenities and parks, murals, a community amphitheater, walking paths, and more.
“This funding will be transformative for not just Portsmouth and Scioto County, but the Appalachian Region as a whole,” said Pizzulli. “I’m grateful for this investment, which will continue to make Southeast Ohio the best place to work, live, and raise a family. Our future is bright!”
In total, over $152 million was awarded to waterfront redevelopment projects throughout Ohio’s Appalachian region.
