Soil Health Task Force Bill Makes Its Way Through Committee

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Juanita O. Brent (D-Cleveland) today released a statement following this week’s House Agriculture Committee Proponent Testimony Hearing of House Bill (HB) 568, the Soil Health Taskforce Bill.

“The quality of our food, water and air starts from our soil,” said Rep. Brent. “The Soil Health Taskforce will create a plan to cultivate healthier and more productive soil.” 

HB 568 creates the Healthy Soils Task Force who develops a comprehensive healthy soils initiative and identifies achievable goals and timelines for improvement of soil health in Ohio.
