COLUMBUS– State Rep. Brent (D-Cleveland) today announced the Ohio House passage of House Bill (HB) 60, which would add autism spectrum disorder as a qualifying condition for use of medical cannabis.
“This bill is a direct result of the needs and wants of the people of Ohio who are on the autism spectrum,” said Rep. Brent “It will help ensure legal access to a plant-based solution free from costly prescription medications or other outdated and sometimes harmful treatments.”
HB 60 would add make autism spectrum disorder the 22nd medical condition to qualify for Ohio’s Medical Marijuana Control Program.
The bill now moves to the Ohio Senate for further hearings.
