Rep. Brent statement on latest GOP extreme abortion ban

State Rep. Juanita Brent (D-Cleveland) today issued a statement on the latest extreme total abortion ban introduced by House Republican lawmakers this week.

“Roe v. Wade (1973) is the law of the land when it comes to abortion. It is a federal law and for us Ohio legislators to try and propose legislation that would trump federal law is wrong,” said State Rep. Brent. “Doctors should not have to fear murder charges for providing safe, abortion options for women. We need to protect women’s reproductive rights and not threaten to take them away.”
