Rep. Brent Makes It Simple: HB 410 Threatens Ohio's Healthcare Access

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Juanita O. Brent (D-Cleveland) today made a statement about House Bill (HB) 410. HB 410, sponsored by Reps. Schmidt (R-Loveland) and Matthews (R-Jefferson) would remove Medicaid funding for abortion providers.

“Ohioans spoke loud and clear when they passed Issue 1 in 2023 to add abortion access to Ohio’s constitution. HB 410 ignores the voice of voters, threatens healthcare access, and pushes more people to leave Ohio. Instead of rolling back rights, we should be building a healthier, safer state where families want to stay" said Rep. Brent.
