Rep. Brent Honors the Legacy of Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr.

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Juanita O. Brent (D-Cleveland) today issued a statement in honor of the late Reverend Jesse L. Jackson Sr., commemorating his lifelong commitment to civil rights, social justice, and community empowerment.

“Today, America has lost a giant while heaven gained a civil servant,” said Rep. Brent. “Rev. Jackson’s legacy taught us that our votes are not just numbers but our voices. I would like to send prayers for those who grieve for the Jackson family and the Rainbow PUSH Coalition. We honor him best not with words, but by continuing to keep hope alive.”
