Rep. Brent Attends National Federalism Initiative Summit

COLUMBUS — State Representative Juanita Brent (D-Cleveland) recently returned from Salt Lake City, Utah where she participated in the 2nd Annual National Federalism Initiative Summit of States, organized by the National Federalism Initiative.

“Federalism is strongest when power is held closest to the people,” said Rep. Brent. “Participating in this summit made it abundantly clear that our current system has tipped far too heavily toward federal centralization. To deliver effective, accountable governance for our communities, we must re-establish clear boundaries, collaborate across state lines, and ensure that local voices drive local solutions.”
