Rep. Brent Attends Joint Agriculture Committee Meeting at the Ohio State Fair
COLUMBUS — State Rep. Juanita Brent (D-Cleveland) yesterday participated in the Joint Agriculture Committee meeting at the Ohio State Fair, where members heard testimony from agricultural leaders, youth organizations, and state and federal agencies on issues impacting Ohio's agricultural industry.
“Agriculture remains Ohio’s top economic driver, and hearing directly from both veteran producers and young leaders at the Ohio State Fair is essential to effective lawmaking," said Rep. Brent. "Over my eight years serving on the House Agriculture Committee, I have consistently fought to ensure our farm families, local food systems, and youth organizations like 4-H and FFA have the resources and policy backing they need to thrive. Seeing the passion of our Junior Fair Board members and student leaders gives me immense confidence in the future of Ohio agriculture."
The Joint Agriculture Committee meeting provided legislators with an opportunity to hear directly from agriculture leaders and youth while highlighting the important role the Ohio State Fair plays in promoting agriculture, education, and economic development across Ohio.
