COLUMBUS– State Rep. Juanita Brent (D-Cleveland) announced the committee passage of bipartisan House Bill (HB) 60 yesterday, which would add autism spectrum disorder as a qualifying condition for use of medical cannabis.
“I hope to see Ohio become the 15th state to legalize the use of medical cannabis for people on the autism spectrum,” said Rep. Brent. “The people of Ohio continue to advocate for this bill, and if the legislature does not address the public outcry for change, I know it will be brought to the ballot box.”
Rep. Brent also introduced this legislation in the 133rd General Assembly. HB 60 now awaits a vote on the House floor.
