Rep. Brent announces school construction project for Warrensville Heights
State Rep. Juanita Brent (D-Cleveland) today announced $12 million in state funding for improvements to Warrensville Heights City School District facilities. The Ohio Facilities Construction Commission, which oversees capital projects for Ohio’s public schools, authorized the spending.
“This investment is tremendous news for the Warrensville Heights City School District,” said Rep. Brent. “This is another step forward in fulfilling Ohio’s promise that our children are attending modernized educational facilities that provide them with the best chance to achieve academic success.”
The state share of the project now awaits final approval by the Ohio Controlling Board. Warrensville Heights City School District has already raised their local share of $26 million for the project.
