Rep. Brent Announces $15,629,000 in Funds for Historic Preservation Projects

COLUMBUS - State Rep. Juanita O. Brent (D-Cleveland) today announced that more than $15M in historic buildings restoration projects within House District 22 were approved through the Historic Preservation Tax Credit Program.
“These tax credits are creating and increasing housing, and spaces for businesses to thrive," said Rep. Brent. “The economic development we need starts with giving people the space and opportunity to be involved in our economy. These tax credits for our historical spaces will maintain the life and culture of our community.”
Historic Preservation Tax Credit items include:
- Helen - Keller - Kohn Buildings (Cleveland): $5M
- The Electric Building (Cleveland): $4.05M
- St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church (Cleveland): $2M
- Alcazar Hotel (Cleveland Heights): $2M
- Old River Road Historic District (Cleveland): $1.92M
- Brennan - Hogan Co. Building (Cleveland): $410K
- Lorain Avenue Building (Cleveland): $250K
