Pro-Labor State Representatives Join UAW Picket Line

COLUMBUS – State Reps. Juanita O. Brent (D-Cleveland) and Bride Rose Sweeney (D-Westlake) joined United Auto Workers (UAW) union members on the picket lines at the Stellantis Assembly Center in Toledo this week.
“This is my second visit to the UAW Strike Line. With inflation UAW members making a livable wage is vital for them as well as for the economy of our country. This is not a matter of making a profit. This is ensuring the voices of our workforce are heard,” said Rep. Brent.
“I will stand with workers today, tomorrow and for as long as it takes to make sure they get what they deserve.” said Rep. Sweeney.
The UAW strike started on Sept. 15 when the UAW members coordinated a walkout of 5,800 workers after months of failed negotiations.
