COLUMBUS – State Rep. Joe Miller (D-Amherst) announced today that Carvana, in partnership with Lorain County Community Development, Team NEO and JobsOhio, will expand their operations by building a 200,000-square-foot facility in Lorain County. The company expects to invest $23 million and hire 400 new employees, representing an estimated $13 million payroll.

“We are thrilled to see this project move forward with plans to create jobs and expand Ohio’s role in the auto-industry in our very own Lorain County. The Lorain to Wellington corridor is just one area that is ripe for investment, and I look forward to continuing to work with Jerry Good’s team, Team NEO, and JobsOhio on several economic development initiatives in Lorain. We welcome Carvana and the example it sets for the future as we look to bring many investment opportunities and jobs to the district,” said Rep. Miller.

Known for its transparent online car buying experience, Carvana plans to build an inspection, reconditioning and distribution facility that is strategically positioned within the company’s national logistics network to help service their growing customer base.
