COLUMBUS– State Rep. Joe Miller (D-Lorain) today announced the Ohio House and Senate’s passage of House Bill (HB) 578, part of which designates a portion of State Route 57, adjacent Oakwood Park, in the city of Lorain as “Police Chief Cel Rivera Memorial Highway”.
“Naming this highway after Police Chief Cel Rivera is just a portion of what we can do to recognize a great man for his service to our community. From his military service to his work for the Lorain Police Department, he showed leadership and dedication to the people of Lorain,” said Rep. Miller.
HB 578 will now head to the governor’s office for signature.
