Rep. Joe Miller Announces $9.3M Release of Capital Funds for Improvements to the Lorain County Community College

COLUMBUS - State Rep. Joe Miller (D-Amherst) today announced the Controlling Board’s release of $9,381,659.18 in capital appropriations for improvements to the Lorain County Community College (LCCC).
“Community colleges like LCCC make the dream of obtaining a higher education an affordable reality for so many. Whether it is a high school student taking CCP classes, someone seeking an apprenticeship, or a student starting a 4-year degree, LCCC has options for everyone,” said Rep. Miller. “This investment will ensure that LCCC can continue providing these opportunities. The Spritzer Center, for example, is one of the most utilized buildings on campus. It provides workforce training, development initiatives, and hosts events held by numerous local businesses, public entities, and non-profits throughout Lorain County.”
The improvements and amounts allocated are as follows:
¿ $5,930,913.72 for the Spitzer Conference Center;
¿ $2,408,168.70 for parking lot improvements; and
¿ $1,042,576.76 for roofing replacements.
