Rep. Joe Miller Announces $4.6M for Complete Renovation of the Lorain Army National Guard Armory
COLUMBUS – State Rep. Joe Miller (D-Amherst) today announced that the Controlling Board has approved funding for a complete renovation of the Army National Guard Armory located at 3520 Grove Ave, Lorain OH.
“I am pleased to announce the approval of funding for improvements to the Army National Guard Armory in Lorain. This facility is a longstanding symbol of Lorain’s commitment to our country’s security both home and abroad, and this investment will ensure that our National Guard members have the facilities they need to train effectively and carry out their duties. These enhancements will not only benefit our local service members but also strengthen our community's infrastructure,” said Rep. Joe Miller.
The scope of this project includes both exterior and interior improvements to the facility, including the removal and replacement of the existing windows and doors, roof replacement and restoration of existing masonry. Additionally, interior renovation includes expansion and renovation of latrine facilities, office space renovations, a new HVAC system, and a new power system with temporary generator and lighting upgrades throughout the facility.
