Boutique Services Opportunity Act Voted out of Committee
COLUMBUS - State Rep. Jennifer Gross (R-West Chester) is pleased to announce that HB 433, The Boutique Services Opportunity Act was voted out of the Ohio House State and Local Government Committee last month.
HB 433 is legislation that will reform Ohio’s approach to occupational licensing and create jobs for beauty industry professionals.
“This bill will modernize Ohio’s approach to regulating the beauty industry. Ohio is open for business,” stated Rep. Gross.
Throughout the committee process, HB 433 had proponents from the Institute for Justice, Americans for Prosperity, Licensed Hair Braiders, and the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. Additionally, there were no opponents to the bill.
The Boutique Services Opportunity Act now heads to the House Floor.
