Schmidt Provides Sponsor Testimony on Resolution to Recognize the 250th Anniversary of the United States Marine Corps

COLUMBUS—State Representative Jean Schmidt (R-Loveland) today provided sponsor testimony before the House Veterans and Military Development Committee on House Concurrent Resolution 21, a resolution to recognize the 250th anniversary of the United States Marine Corps. 

The resolution will commend the United States Marine Corps as a critical infantry force, recognizing its legacy built on an unwavering fighting spirit. The legislation signifies a formal expression of acknowledgement and respect from the Ohio General Assembly. 

“The courage and sacrifice of the Marines have been instrumental in securing our nation's freedoms,” said Schmidt. “This resolution signifies the reverence the State of Ohio has for all who have answered the call to serve their country by joining the United States Marine Corps.”
