House Committee Passes Bill to Create the â¿¿Continue Your Storyâ¿ License Plate

COLUMBUS—The House Homeland Security Committee yesterday passed House Bill 222, legislation to create the “Continue Your Story” specialty license plate in Ohio, announced bill sponsor, State Rep. Jean Schmidt (R-Loveland).

The “Continue Your Story” license plate will directly support the Ben Morrison Fund, serving as a tool to raise awareness and break down stigma surrounding mental health. 

“The Ben Morrison Fund is a mental health awareness non-profit that helps remove stigma and awareness barriers that keep suffering individuals from receiving the care and support they need,” said Schmidt. “I believe these license plates will save lives.” 

The Ben Morrison Memorial Fund has supported over forty events to raise awareness about mental health struggles, break down stigma, and provide life-saving education resources to kids in the Cincinnati and Columbus area. 

House Bill 222 will now head to the House floor for a vote.
