COLUMBUS – State Rep. Jason Stephens (R-Kitts Hill) testified on Wednesday, February 25th, before the House Ways and Means Committee in support of House Bill 673, legislation to expand the owner-occupancy credit to include all property tax levies.

This legislation will establish a two-year program under which hospitals in small counties will receive increased Medicaid managed care organization (MCO) reimbursement payments.

COLUMBUS – A plan to help counties build and repair local jails was overwhelmingly approved today by the Ohio House of Representatives.

State Rep. Jason Stephens (R-Kitts Hill) announces that his sponsored legislation under House Bill 201 has been signed into law by the governor. The legislation prevents local governments from limiting the use of natural gas and propane. Stephens attended the signing ceremony earlier today.
