Rep. Craig Applauds $750,000 Award for City of Wooster

State Representative Meredith Craig (R-Smithville) today announced that the City of Wooster will receive $750,000 through the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP), which awards communities to improve safety for bicycle and pedestrian traffic.
“This funding will help construct 1.25 miles of shared-use path connecting Venture Boulevard and Silver Road at the new Clear Creek Run Neighborhood in Wooster,” said Craig. “This project will create new opportunities for our residents to walk, bike, and connect with the surrounding community while supporting continued growth and development in the area.”
The City of Wooster was one of 17 projects awarded from a $21 million funding pot. This program provides funding for various projects, including transportation alternatives, infrastructure projects to improve access for public transportation, community improvement activities, environmental mitigation, and more.
