Controlling Board Approves Funds for Permanent Supportive Housing
COLUMBUS – The Ohio Controlling Board and State Representative Jamie Callender (R-Concord) announced Monday the release of $218,400 to provide permanent supportive housing for homeless, disabled single males, females, and households with children, with household incomes at or below 35% of the area median income in Lake County.
This project is being completed by Extended Housing Inc. has the capacity to support 90 households, which will include 111 beds.
“I am pleased to see this funding approved for Lake County, which will help those in the area get back on their feet,” said Callender. “We must continue to invest in our communities and make sure those most vulnerable receive the support they need.”
The next controlling board meeting is scheduled for March 21.
