State Rep. Hoops Announces District Winner of 2018 Ohio House of Representatives Student Art Exhibition
COLUMBUS—State Representative Jim Hoops (R-Napoleon) today announced Davina Fredrick as the 81st House District winner of the 2018 Ohio House of Representatives Student Art Exhibition.
Fredrick attends Liberty Center High School and is taught by Amy Spieth.
"What a great achievement by Davina Fredrick to be picked to represent the 81st House District in the 2018 Ohio House of Representatives Student Art Exhibition," said Representative Hoops. "Her work will be seen by thousands of people from across the state and country as they visit the Riffe Center and Statehouse throughout the year."
The exhibition is open to the public at the Vern Riffe Center for Government and the Arts in the lower level Statehouse connector through the end of this year.
The Ohio House of Representatives, Ohio Arts Council, and Ohio Art Education Association joined together for the third annual student exhibition, which showcases high school artwork from all 99 Ohio House districts. The exhibition recognizes the talents, creativity, and innovation of students who receive high quality arts education instruction as part of their academic experience in school and represents art by some of Ohio's finest high school artists.
Students attended an award ceremony on Saturday, April 21, at the Vern Riffe Center for Government and the Arts to be recognized for their achievement.
