Daniels Named Vice Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee
COLUMBUS— State Rep. Jack Daniels (R-New Franklin) has been appointed by Ohio House Speaker Jason Stephens (R-Kitts Hill) as the Vice Chair of the House Ways and Means Committee.
“I’m proud to bring my experience as an entrepreneur to serve in a leadership capacity on the Ways and Means Committee,” said Daniels. “I look forward to working with Chairman Bill Roemer and the rest of the committee as we work on critical legislation to help Ohioans.”
Daniels attended the University of Akron before beginning his business career. Since 1991, he has owned and operated various businesses in the trucking industry.
Before being appointed to the House, Daniels was a longtime community leader in Summit County. He held various positions on the New Franklin City Council, including President. He also serves on various boards, including founding and serving as Chairman of the Board for the Manchester Education Foundation. The organization supports the students and educators of Manchester Local School District, offering grants to classroom teachers and scholarships to students.
