COLUMBUS – State Representatives Bill Roemer (R-Richfield) and Jack Daniels (R-New Franklin) announced that legislation to designate the Captain Joshua Michael McClimans Memorial Highway passed through the Ohio House of Representatives unanimously yesterday. 

COLUMBUS— Representatives Jack Daniels (R- New Franklin) and Josh Williams (R-Sylvania Township) today announced legislation aimed at strengthening Ohio’s hate crime statutes by enhancing penalties for politically motivated violence. The introduction of this legislation follows the tragic murder of political commentator Charlie Kirk, and Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman which served as a reminder that attacks targeting individuals based on their political beliefs or affiliations are on a disturbing rise.

State Representative Jack Daniels (R-New Franklin) today announced that the Ohio House of Representatives voted to override the Governor’s veto of Item #66, putting into motion landmark property tax reform through a provision that encourages levy transparency and promotes responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars on the local level.
