Memorial Highways and Bridges Bill Signed into Law

COLUMBUS— House Bill 276, which designates memorial highways and bridges across the state, was signed into Ohio law today by Governor Mike DeWine, announced State Representative Haraz Ghanbari (R-Perrysburg).

“It is an honor to recognize some of our district’s heroes with the passage of this bill,” said Representative Ghanbari.

The bill designates Master Chief Special Warfare Operator (SEAL) Edward C. Byers, Jr., Medal of Honor Recipient Highway on parts of state route 65 in Wood County and SGT Arthur A. Mora, Jr. Memorial Highway on a stretch of state route 25 in Perrysburg.

Also included in the bill is the designation of other highways and bridges in memory of distinguished veterans and in recognition of community leaders and other individuals.

State Representative Haraz N. Ghanbari is serving his first term in the Ohio House of Representatives after being appointed in March of 2019. He represents the 3rd Ohio House District, serving residents of Wood County.
