COLUMBUS — State Rep. Haraz Ghanbari (R., Perrysburg) was recently appointed by Ohio Speaker Bob Cupp (R., Lima) as a non-voting legislative member of the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission and has already attended his first meeting

Sen. Bill Reineke (R., Tiffin) serves as the Senate's representative on the commission, which oversees operation of the 241-mile, east-to-west toll road.

“(Mr. Ghanbari) is a trusted friend, and I’m proud to say that we have already worked together on issues that affect his district,” commission Executive Director Ferzan M. Ahmed said. “Beyond that, he has dedicated his life to serving others, and we look forward to his input, advice, and advocacy toward ensuring the Ohio Turnpike remains a powerful economic engine for northern Ohio.”

Appointed to a vacancy in 2019 to represent Wood County's 3rd District in the House of Representatives, Mr. Ghanbari, a former Perrysburg councilman, was elected to a two-year term of his own last year. He serves on the House Transportation and Public Safety Committee.
