Rep. White Celebrates the Passage of House Bill 311 in the Senate

COLUMBUS — State Rep. Erika White (D-Springfield Township) today celebrated the passage of House Bill (HB) 311 in the Senate unanimously (30-0). This bi-partisan bill, joint sponsored by Rep. James Hoops (R-Napoleon), will designate the third full week of May as EMS week in Ohio.
“House Bill 311 is bipartisan legislation centered on workers—the dedicated EMS professionals and 911 dispatchers who keep our communities safe every single day. These are skilled, high-pressure careers built on service, compassion, and the ability to respond when every second matters. By recognizing their contributions, we honor the workers already carrying this responsibility while helping elevate these professions and encourage the next generation to step forward. Supporting workers means valuing the people who answer the call, care for our families, and hold our communities together when it matters most,” said Rep. White.
The bill now heads to the Governor’s desk.
