Rep. Jarrells sworn in as State Representative and Assistant Minority Leader for 2023-2024

COLUMBUS- State Rep. Dontavius Jarrells (D-Columbus) was officially sworn in as the state representative for House District 1 on Jan. 3, 2023. Rep. Jarrells will also serve as Assistant Minority Leader for the 135th General Assembly. This is Rep. Jarrells’ second legislative term. 

“I look forward to the opportunity to continue the work we started in the 134th General Assembly in order to support working families throughout the state of Ohio,” said Jarrells. “Also, in my new capacity as the Assistant Minority Leader, I am excited to lead the Minority Caucus to create an agenda that prioritizes reproductive freedom, civil rights and workers’ rights.”
