Ohio House Democrats elect new leadership
Ohio - The Democrats of the Ohio House of Representatives have just elected a new roster of Minority Leadership.
Party leadership is broken into four roles including a party leader, assistant party leader, party whip, and assistant party whip.
The party leaders are in charge are developing and implementing the party's agenda and legislation while the whips are in charge of securing party loyalty and votes.
Rep. Dani Isaacsohn (D-Cincinnati) has received a promotion going from the Minority Whip to the Minority Leader replacing Rep. C. Allison Russo (D-Upper Arlington).
Rep. Phillip M. Robinson, Jr. (D-Solon) is giving him a hand as the Assistant Minority Leader taking the place of Rep. Dontavius L. Jarrells (D-Columbus)
Rep. Beryl Piccolantonio (D-Gahanna) has been elected as the Minority Whip, filling Rep. Isaacsohn vacant seat.
And Rep. Desiree Tims (D-Dayton) has been chosen to serve as the Assistant Minority Whip taking the place of Rep. Michele Grim (D-Toledo).
