COLUMBUS – State Representative Darrell Kick (Loudonville) announced today that the Ag-Link Deposit Program is up and running.
This program offers farmers and those in agribusinesses the opportunity to receive up to a 3% interest rate reduction on new or existing operating loans up to $150,000.
The Ohio Treasurer will open the application period year-round this year. The application period will be broken into quarters and new reduced interest figures will be announced at the beginning of each quarter.
In order to be eligible for the program one must:
- Be organized for profit
- Have headquarters and 51% of operations in Ohio
- Use the loan exclusively for agriculture purposes
- Comply with all program and financial institution regulations
