Darrell Kick Biography

Representative Darrell Kick serves the people of House District 98

State Representative Darrell Kick is serving his fourth term in the Ohio House. He represents the 98th House District, which includes all of Coshocton and Holmes counties and eastern Knox County.

Rep. Kick is an active, sixth-generation farmer, working on a 400-acre grain, beef and hay family farm near Loudonville. He also owns investment properties through two companies—Mohican Rentals LLC and West Side Realty Management LLC.

Prior to being elected to the House, Kick served in various local organizations, including several years on the Holmes County Farm Bureau. There, he served four years as president, as well as on the policy committee and as a delegate to the annual statewide meeting representing Holmes County.

Kick also spent nearly 6 years working for Congressman Gibbs out of the Ohio offices as a Field Rep. and then as the District Director.

Kick also was elected to the Loudonville Farmers Equity Board for nine years, including eight years as board secretary. He currently attends and is a member of Ashland Cavalry Baptist, and had previously served as deacon and treasurer at Loudonville Baptist Temple.

Kick has been very active in developing youth and high school students, such as coaching softball, fifth- and sixth-grade boys basketball, as well as being an assistant boys varsity basketball coach and head varsity girls basketball coach.

He and his wife of more than 25 years, Erin, have five children: Mariah, Jared, Emma, Clarice and Garrett.
